Showings that SELL

Homes tend to sell more quickly and for higher prices when they show their best!

This is why it's so important that your home shows well. We’re also aware that it can't always be perfect. After all, you and your family must live there. Develop a routine that will allow you to pick up and be prepared to show in a reasonable period without duress... a 45-minute countdown, for example. This means that certain things must be done in advance. For example, beds should be made up neatly and attractively first thing in the morning and dirty dishes placed in the dishwasher. This will help you prepare for each showing in an organized and un-hassled fashion.

INSPECT EACH ROOM Check counters, floors, halls, and stairs. Straighten up or remove newspapers, magazines, mail, toys, clothing, snack glasses and dishes. Be sure all kitchen counter tops are clear and “squeaky clean”. Be sure all your dirty dishes are put away in the dishwasher and the sink is clean and clear. Wipe down all your appliances. Try keeping a set of fresh and attractive towels in each bathroom. Fold and hide any used ones.

CLEAN AIR Keep air fresheners in closets, bathrooms, and kitchens. Be careful not to go overboard, you want your home to smell fresh and clean not overpowering. If the weather is warm and sultry, have the air conditioning on a comfortable temperature.

LET THERE BE LIGHT Do all that you can to create a bright and light ambiance. Turn on all the lights, even those in closets and storage rooms. Open all drapes, shades, and blinds.

THE ENTRY WAy Its the first and last impression that your potential buyers will have on your home, make it a good one! Check it regularly for sharpness.

THE FINAL TOUCH Create a relaxing effect with soft and pleasant background music. It will make your potential buyers feel more at home and have a lasting effect.
